A.W. Perry Hires Veteran Real Estate Professional, Michael Healey as Acquisition and Development Associate

A.W. Perry’s Fifth Generation Takes the Reigns- Richard P. Beal Appointed President

A.W. Perry, a relationship-driven real estate investment and services firm with offices in Boston and Hingham, MA is pleased to announce that Richard P. Beal has been appointed President of the Company.   Rich is following family tradition and becomes the 9th president of this privately held real estate firm established in 1884 by Alonzo W. Perry. In this role Rich will oversee the overall strategic direction and operations of the Company.   Rich joined A.W. Perry in 2004 and spent 7 years overseeing the Company’s South Shore residential development division as well as leasing, property management and asset management for various commercial properties.  Since 2011, Rich has been President of Perry Brokerage Associates, a commercial brokerage operation providing leasing, sales and acquisition services, representing landlords and tenants in the Boston, Cambridge and Suburban markets.  Rich served as Chairman of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board in 2015 and is a past President of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA Boston).

Rich takes the reigns from Jack Spurr who has recently retired from his role as President after 35 years with the Company.  Jack will remain on the Company’s Board of Directors as Vice Chairman and will continue to oversee Perry’s Residential Development division on the South Shore.  William (Buzz) G. Constable who has been with the Company for more than 32 years has also stepped back to a part time position and will serve as an Executive Consultant, providing development and legal expertise to the A.W. Perry team.
